Safelite Group contributed $10,000 to the Collision Repair Education
Foundation Campaign Fund, which provides annual student scholarships,
grants and the annual Ultimate Collision Education Makeover $50,000
school grant.
The Collision Repair Education Foundation, founded in 1991, is
a not-for-profit organization dedicated to securing donations that
support philanthropic and collision repair education activities.
"Proper education ensures quality workmanship and helps enhance
our industry's reputation," says Jerry Beigel, senior vice
president of Safelite Solutions. "We are happy to contribute
to education of auto body and vehicle glass technicians through
this donation."
"The support of Safelite's entire senior management team speaks
loudly of the progress we have made with helping companies like
Safelite to understand the value of donating to the foundation,"
says Clark Plucinski, executive director of the foundation. "Safelite's
leaders understand that there is not just a benefit to shops, but
to the entire industry helping to build the bridge to employment
for the 60,000 students participating in these programs."
