Mid-Atlantic Auto Glass Shops Prepare for Major
Snowstorm
February 5, 2010
As the Mid-Atlantic region was anticipating another large snow16-24
inches were forecast in some areasglass shops in the Metro
D.C. area were making preparations for the coming days.
For Glass America in Fredericksburg, Va., the main goal was to
get today's appointments done before the snow began.
"We are just trying to knock them out before the snow hits,"
said store manager David Curtis.
Distinct Auto Glass, also in Fredericksburg, was planning on moving
its work indoors.
"Normally we just try to revert to inside installations,"
said Distinct owner Mike Carpenter. "If we do things outside
we just make sure we have a clean surface and that the person knows
the car will need to sit. We just try to educate everyone we do
work for and make sure it's done correctly."
Banner Glass in Lorton, Va., didn't have immediate preparation
plans.
"We're just herewaiting to see what happens," said
a company representative.
