Steve
Briggs, Formerly of Elite Auto Glass, Passes Away
Steve Briggs, former sales manager for US Auto Glass and a partner
in Elite Auto Glass, passed away on April 18 at his home in Boulder,
Colo. Briggs had retired from Elite in January 2007. He was 62 years
old.
"Steve
is remembered as a great friend, business partner and truly a man
who brought joy to those around him," says Dave Leach of Belron
US, which purchased Elite Auto Glass in March 2005. "Quite
simply, Steve knew how to enjoy life."
He is survived by his wife, Micki Larson-Briggs; daughter, Mariah
Larson of St. Paul, Minn.; and two brothers, Jon Briggs of Lincoln,
Neb., and Bill Goodman of Memphis, Tenn.
A sports-themed memorial service was held in Briggs' honor on April
23, and was followed by a gathering at Briggs' favorite lunch spot,
Chili's in Louisville, Colo.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation at 1355 S. Colorado Boulevard, C200, Denver, Colo., 80222,
and The Merle Briggs Pius X scholarship fund, 6000 A Street, Lincoln,
Neb., 68510.
