Registration for the Third Annual WRO Closes Monday, September 8

Time is running out to register to compete for the third annual Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics (WRO). The deadline is almost here—Monday, September 8 at 5 p.m. EDT. Top prize this year is $1,000 cash.

For its third year in a row, this event will take the best repair technicians and give them an arena in which to showcase their skills to each other as well as industry leaders. In addition to entry in the competition, competitors receive networking opportunities with fellow technicians and manufacturers, admission to the congratulatory cocktail party Friday night, admission to the NACE trade show and admission to view the Auto Glass Technician Olympics (Replacement) November 7-8.

The champion receives a cash prize of $1,000 and wins the title of "World's Best Repair Technician." The winner and the company he or she represents will receive extensive media coverage; use of the WRO winner logo on stationery, business cards and advertising for one year; use of the 2008 Walt Gorman WRO logo for an unlimited time and a full-page ad and coverage in AGRR magazine.

Matt Anderson of Novus Auto Glass will return this year to defend his 2007 title of "World's Best Repair Technician." (CLICK HERE for related story.)

It's not too late to prove your skills and challenge Matt for this top honor in repair.
