July 13, 2010

GlasWeld in Bend, Ore., has once again reserved the spot as the platinum sponsor for the Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics (WRO) for the fifth year in a row. The event, also in its fifth year, is scheduled for October 11-12, 2010, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

“GlasWeld is very pleased to continue our platinum sponsorship of the [WRO],” says Dennis Garbutt, general manager of the Bend, Ore.-based company. “Events such as the WRO are the building blocks for constant improvement within our industry. Our annual involvement with these leading technicians is an invaluable source of firsthand knowledge of what they find beneficial in not just making their jobs more efficient, but in providing the highest level of professionalism to their customers.”

“We are grateful to GlasWeld for being a charter sponsor as well as continued supporter of this event dedicated exclusively to the repair industry,” adds Holly Biller, event director. “Their sponsorship makes it possible to continue this education and exciting event to showcase the technicians and their impressive skills.”

Registration is now open for contestants for the competition. The deadline is September 17.
