Upcoming International Auto Glass Safety Conference to Include Informative Sessions on AGRSS Validation Program
September 16, 2010
The upcoming International Auto Glass Safety (AGRSS) Conference will include several sessions to assist AGRSS-registered businesses in preparing for third-party validation reviews. The conference will be held October 27-28 in suburban Chicago at the Drury Lane Conference Center.
One session will be led by Dow Automotive technical manager Dale Malcolm, Glasspro quality control director Jeff Olive and Orion Registrar Inc. director of program development Penny Ouellette. The three will lead a discussion on the types of non-compliance items that have been found thus far in the validation program, which is nearing its one-year anniversary since its inception. They also will provide tips on how to avoid these.
In addition, the conference will feature a panel discussion from several who’ve been involved directly in validations, including Michael Paley, owner of Freedom Glass in Richmond, Va., Gene Nichols of Guardian Automotive and Ron Overbeck of Auto One in Brighton, Mich. They will discuss the details of being involved in an actual validation, tips for others and more.
The pre-registration deadline (to register at discounted rates) is October 4, 2010.
Details about the conference’s other sessions also are available online.
