Reid Tools Transition to New Ownership Complete
October 13, 2011
The acquisition of Reid Tools by White River Knife and Tool has been completed. The sale of the company resulted from Reid’s entrance into constructive foreclosure on August 12.
As a result of the acquisition, John Cammenga of White River has taken over as president.
“The acquisition of the Reid brand and its manufacturing equipment is great news for Reid auto glass tool customers,” says Cammenga. “We are investing in people, research and development, equipment and increased inventory levels … We are grateful for the support loyal Reid customers have shown throughout this transition.”
Cammenga says his background is in manufacturing, and that he has “manufactured precision military instruments, navigational products, and firearm related products for almost 20 years.”
In addition to the auto glass industry, White River also serves the knife and blade industry, adds Cammenga.
