Auto Glass Specialists announces Stephen W. Theobald has been appointed chief operating officer for Auto Glass Specialists in Madison, Wis. In this newly created position, Theobald will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the organization.

"Steve's operating background and knowledge of our company will be a great benefit to us as we strive to continue improving our performance," said Robert Birkhauser, Auto Glass Specialists chairman, president and chief executive officer.

Theobald joins Auto Glass Specialists from Silverman Consulting where he served as a consultant since 1999. Prior to joining Silverman Consulting, Theobald worked for twelve years at Stokely USA, a $280 million publicly held branded food products company, his career there culminating in the positions of president and chief executive officer.

A Vietnam veteran and former U.S. Navy Liutenant, Theobald also served in various debt and equity trading and sales positions with Morgan Stanley & Company and Harris Trust and Savings Bank.
