Vitro to Expand its Automotive Glass Production Capacity

Mexico-based Vitro is building a production plant for the automotive glass replacement market as well as a new OE automated line for the bending process. The company is investing $35 million USD to expand operations and plans to have both additions in operation in 2017.

NSG Pilkington Reports Sales Upswing

NSG, parent company to Pilkington, reports full-year 2015 automotive sales of $2.63 billion USD (313.96 billion Yen), compared to $2.56 billion USD (305.11 billion Yen) in the previous year full year. Operating profit for the segment is $78.53 million USD (9.37 billion Yen) for full-year 2015, compared to $93.45 million USD (11.15 billion Yen).
