Carlex is adding new personnel to its Tennessee plants as part of a facility expansion, according to Don Michelotti, executive vice president. The company now serves almost all automakers who manufacture vehicles in the U.S. It also continues to expand its aftermarket offerings as well, he adds.

Ltd., a parent company of Carlex Glass Co., has resolved to conclude a share transfer agreement to acquire all of the outstanding shares of two subsidiaries of Guardian Industries Corp.—Guardian Automotive Products, Inc. (GAPI), headquartered in Sterling Heights, Mich., and Guardian Automotive-E S.A. (GA ESA), headquartered in Luxembourg.
Rod Watson, technical services manager for Carlex, is retiring. He got his start in the industry in 1974 as a float production engineer for PPG.
