Judge Throws Out Class Action Complaint Against Ford for Tailgate Windows

A judge for the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, has dismissed the class action complaint filed against Ford, saying the automaker had no duty to disclose that there is a potential risk of cracking in the tailgate. More than 30 Ford owners claimed in their complaint that the potential cracking in the tailgate presents a safety issue that “could cause the window in the tailgate to drop out and hit/injure the operator or bystanders,” reads the court documents.
